Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold was spectacular against Fulham on Sunday, and stopping him, not to mention the likes of Mo Salah, will prove a huge challenge for a vulnerable Blades defense that has conceded 39 goals so far this season. Expect a low block and some last-gasp defending from Sheffield Utd.
Newly-appointed Wilder will be without suspended striker Oli McBurnie for his first game back in charge, but the Reds are missing some key men too. They will be without Alisson Becker between the posts and Joel Matip in defense. It is unlikely Diego Jota will have recovered in time to play either.

The Blades sunk to the bottom of the table at the weekend, with a dismal 5-0 defeat away against fellow strugglers Burnley leading to the dismissal of Paul Heckingbottom. He has been replaced in the role by Chris Wilder, who makes his return to the club having left his role in 2021, being replaced by Heckingbottom in simlar circumstances to which they face this season.
Liverpool will provide a tough first assignment for Wilder, with Jurgen Klopp's side topping the league's form table following 14 points from their last six matches. They have, however, stuttered on the road in recent weeks and have now gone three games without a win on their travels.
Should Arsenal fail to win against Luton on tuesday night, Liverpool can rise to the summit of the Premier League should they emerge from the match victorious. Sheffield United, meanwhile, face the threat of being cut adrift in 20th place, with their goal difference of -28 also causing concern.
The last time these two sides met was in a Premier League fixture back in 2021, with Liverpool winning 2-0. The Reds have won on their past three visits to Sheffield United and will be expecting to claim yet another win against a side who have won just once in 14 games so far this season.
Sheffield United have been severly hampered by injuries so far this season and their long list of absentees has risen to eight ahead of this match with the suspension of Oli McBurnie. This means that Cameron Archer is set to lead the line, with former Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster nearing his own injury return.
For Liverpool, they remain without Diogo Jota, Alisson, Thiago Alcantara, Andy Robertson and Stefan Bajcetic and a long list has been added to following injury to Joel Matip, who is out for a period with a knee injury.
The promoted Blades have made a miserable start to the season and are bottom of the table with one win from their first 14 league games, a run that has seen manager Paul Heckingbottom sacked. Liverpool, meanwhile, are four matches unbeaten in all competitions, winning three of those games, against Brentford, LASK and Fulham.
